Caroline Alassio, pianist, is born in Berlin as a daughter of the german violonist
Albin Doerge and his wife Hongza Choe Doerge, a corean soprano.
She began to study piano at the age of five.

She studied at the Julius-Stern-Institut, Hdk,Berlin with Laszlo Simon. she was a student of Karl Heinz Kaemmerling
at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Hannover. she studied with Homero Francesch at the Musikhochschule Zurich and with Franco Scala at the Accademia Pianistica in Imola.

Masterclasses with Sergej Dorenski and Lev Naumov.



Awards

1979-85: Several first prizes at Steinway Competitions in Berlin and Hamburg

1989: Award at the third European Chopin Competition in Darmstadt.

As soloist she performed in halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin, Sala Sinfonica di Castellon and San Sebastiano (Spain), Seoul Art Center, Bunkakaikan Hall Tokyo, Teatro Regio Torino and Teatro Comunale Bologna with following orchestras and conductors :

She played recitals in the Teatro Comunale Reggio Emilia, at Lingotto and Teatro Regio Torino, auditorium of the conservatorio Torino, sala Mozart Bologna, Kammermusiksaal of the Philharmonie Berlin, Villa Wahnfried Bayreuth, auditorium conservatorio Lugano and numerous other european halls.



She has been invited to international Festivals, such as:
